Sac59th is a proposed development project in East Sacramento along 59th Street between Folsom Boulevard and U.S. Highway 50.

If built, the development will replace SMUD’s former Corporation Yard with a state-of-the-art, mixed-use, transit-oriented development.

SUSTAINABILITY
This transit-oriented development aims to relocate the light-rail station to west of 59th Street, thereby connecting residents to key community destinations and activity centers. This connectivity, in addition to a network of paths and sidewalks, will encourage walking, biking, public transit use, and carpooling.
The all-electric Sac59th development will partner with SMUD throughout the project lifecycle and will serve as a showcase for the latest advancements in green construction, energy efficiency and sustainability.
Unique and community-oriented amenities at Sac59th will include a demonstration kitchen and culinary event center, community garden, swimming pool, and childcare facilities. Close proximity to neighborhood businesses and services will help enhance the vitality of the East Sacramento community.
